Payment
Van der Vorst- Art accepts wire transfers, cash and all major credit card payments trough Stripe or Paypal.
Payment is due within 7 days after invoice date (if not discussed otherwise).
Should payment not have been received within 7 days, Van der Vorst-Art is free to sell the artwork to other parties.
For purchases that are not made directly through the Van der Vorst-Art website and not paid by wire transfer an additional 5% on the total price applies.

Interest-free Payment Plans
Found the artwork you love but the timing is not totally right?
With Van der Vorst-Art you can secure your artwork and spread the payment.
All we need is a 20% deposit to remove the artwork from sale.
Spread the remaining balance over a period of up to 11 months. In the meantime we pack and store your artwork. Once the work is fully paid for we organise shipping or collection.

Fees
All artwork are sold under the VAT Special Scheme terms and declarations.
Net amount due for Margin Scheme.
International import fees and duties are at the buyer expense.

Shipping
We provide worldwide shipping. Unframed works will be shipped flat (if not discussed otherwise). Frame artworks are packed in a custom made wooden crate. All works are being shipped fully insured with Fedex, UPS, DHL, Skynet (Germany). For shipments to addresses within The Netherlands, we use PostNL, unless otherwise specified or agreed on. All costumers receive a tracking code as soon as the shipment is booked.

Delivery
We ship daily and generally ship out within 1-2 days of payment clearance. Other arrangements can be made if necessary. Van der Vorst-Art thrives to have artworks delivered as soon as possible.  As soon as payment is cleared, packed and picked up the tracking code is provided with the indicated delivery date. Van der Vorst-Art can not guarantee delivery dates provided by the shipping company while shipment can be delayed due to unforeseen circumstanced while enroute or due to customs clearance. 

Refunds and Returns
Customer satisfaction is a high priority for our gallery. Van der Vorst- Art will accept returns up to 7 days after the client has received the work of art. Return shipping costs are at the buyers expense. We will issue a refund, less the cost of packing & shipping. All returns may be subject to a ten percent (10%) restocking fee. We do not accept returns if the art or frame has been damaged while in the care of the client. Unless otherwise stated, special orders and layaways cannot be returned.

Deposits and Layaways
If a deposit is made to hold a piece for later purchase at an agreed-upon price or to purchase on layaway, the item is marked ‘sold’ in our inventory for the duration of the sale.  If for any reason the sale is canceled, the deposit is nonrefundable until the piece is resold for its full amount.  In an effort to accommodate our clients’ needs and wishes, we also permit the deposit amount to be applied toward the purchase of another piece of art.  We at Van der Vorst- Art pride ourselves on our commitment to customer service; we try to remain flexible and work with everybody.
